Now that the five tips are pointed out to you females, I don’t expect every girl to be joining the gym tomorrow and taking over the weights area thinking you are one of the macho men roaring ‘Weights weights protein shakes’. However, I hope after reading this women might have a different perception of lifting weights and realise that weight training actually can deliver some fantastic benefits. With social media becoming so important nowadays there are lots of pictures of fitness models online, especially on Instagram. This brings a lot of pressure on young people as they want to try and emulate these bodies but it also brings a lot of motivation and inspiration to do so. Girls who are already lifting weights have in no way become ‘big’ or ‘bulky’ but they have changed the shape of their body in a positive way as they now look strong and sexy. Not only does the outside count but as mentioned earlier in the blog, lifting weights has some excellent benefits to your organs and also increases your life span. As I am a fitness instructor for nearly two years now I can recommend a weight training plan throughout the week for you to try:
- Monday: Chest and Triceps
- Tuesday: Shoulders
- Wednesday: Legs
- Thursday: Rest
- Friday: Back and Biceps
- Saturday: HIIT
- Sunday: Rest
