Tip 1 - Make a healthy shopping listThe first thing you should do when you land down on a Sunday to your college house is make a shopping list. Boring I know! But shopping lists help you keep on track with what you buy which will make it easier to eat healthy. Firstly set a budget of how much you can spend on food for the week. The next step is a little bit more difficult. WHAT TO BUY??? Let me break it down to simple terms. The body needs good nutritious foods such as Protein, GOOD Fats, Carbohydrates, Fruit and Vegetables. The left picture is what a healthy shopping list looks like, you include these foods in your diet you’re guaranteed to notice changes to your body! Now some of ye may look at this and be like those foods are boring and bland, and they are, unless you get creative! Why not try using spices to help bring flavour to your dishes. I personally love add garlic herb spices or Cajun spice to chicken! |
Whether you love or hate it, college is here. Back to the life of exams, assignments, budgets, freezing houses, junk food and of course BEER. Juggling all this can be quite stressful and often us students forget to look after ourselves in terms of health and exercise. The last thing us students need to be worrying about is piling on the extra few pounds! (That’s what the Christmas holidays are for) With this in mind I do realise not all students are like this! Some students might not put on weight, some students may not drink, some students are more active or sportier then others but that doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t room for improvement to a healthier college life. So I got thinking, why not make your student life easier and give you 8 tips that will not only improve your overall health but may even help turn some stubborn flab to fab! |
