The situations where your child may come into contact with water are endless, e.g. a bathtub, a small stream or even the bucket you are using while washing the car. Water is all around us so shouldn’t it be our priority to make sure that kids are aware of the dangers of water and are comfortable in it? 1.2 million people around the world die by drowning annually, that is more than two humans per minute. A scarier statistic reveals that 50 per cent of those who drown are children…Are you as a parent going to take on the responsibility of ensuring your child can swim? Whether its teaching them yourself or enrolling them in swimming lessons you can help keep your child safe in a world where we are surrounded by water. |
